Enchanting

Dear friend, (whoever you are)

I’d like to start out with saying I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything more this past week. Dear friend(s?), I did not get the impression you missed me terribly, but I thought I’d apologize all the same. I could offer you excuses, but somehow I don’t think you’d really want to listen to them.

Dear friend, a few days ago I was reading (as I often do) and came across a description of a character that I just loved. The character was described “Wherever he went, he put a spell on people” he was someone who touched everyone they met; enchanting them and making them feel special. The author wrote that you often forget your own rules (and even your own name) once you’ve met him. He never called people by their given names, but rather the names he thought they should have.

I read this and thought he was amazing, and I wanted to be like him. –I- want to touch and enchant people, I want them to feel special being around me. But I’m not that kind of person, dear friend. I am quiet and shy.
But maybe someone will read –this- and maybe it will touch –them- in some way. That, dear friend, would be amazing.

Dear friend, I have been clicking through blogs here at blogspot (I figured I should, since that’s the only way people will be able to find this blog, so I should do the same). I have found the “Next Blog” button to be annoying and Google searches to only show blogs with many hits, I’m still looking though. I found this link: http://www.blogger.com/changes10.g that shows the recently updated blogs, I go through there and find ones that look interesting.

I’m on the hunt to find one I love, that no one reads. Maybe just quotes someone found amusing, or their own random musings; or their poetry or art. I just want to find something hidden and special, and be their very first reader (or one of the few). And maybe if I comment, they’ll come on over to this blog. Dear friend, yes, please come and read.

Until next time,

“Anonymous”

Dear friend,
(Whoever you are)

So it seems like you’ve stumbled across my blog, that’s good. That makes me happy, that means someone out there is reading what I have to say.

Whenever you start a diary, or a journal people always say “write as if you’re writing to a close friend” so I figured this blog will be the same way. But do you worry dear friend, I don’t plan to bore you with my average life, because nothing interesting ever happens worth blogging about. I’m just going to post thoughts, I suppose, and quotes and just…thoughts. Dear friend, I guess you’ll see later on.

Why did I start this blog? Well dear friend, that is a good question. Maybe someone will find it, and actually read it, and end up loving it and commenting on it, and we’ll become friends (oh, dear friend, you can never have too many friends). Or maybe we’ll fall in love, eventually get married and have 1.5 kids, a dog named Princess, and a white picket fence. (Yeah…right…)
I suppose I started it just post what I want and have no one know it’s really ME. Yes dear friend, I wish to remain anonymous.

Anonymity has always intrigued me in a way. “Anonymous” meaning no one knows who really wrote that. I wonder about these anonymous people, why be anonymous? Did they want to freely express opinions without others judging them (somewhat like me, dear friend?). Maybe they were actively “against” something, but wrote something anonymously “for” it? Maybe they were shy, quiet people, whom no one believed to be passionate or able to express opinions and no one would even consider their opinion, or maybe they WERE shy and COULDN’T (express their opinion openly) so they decided to express it anonymously. Maybe they would have been hunted and killer for their opinion, so they wanted their identity to be secret. Or maybe they wanted all the credit they could get, but their name was somehow lost?

Those, dear friend, are the thoughts and musings I plan on writing about. Maybe with a little poem or picture or work of art thrown in.

Dear friend, it’s been nice talking to you. Let’s talk again tomorrow, shall we? And dear friend, if you have anything to say (or with to express some of YOUR random musings) feel free to comment. Because THAT, my dear friend, would make me very happy.

Until next time,
Anonymous Writer.
